Brief:
Once the Tamworth Workers’ Club, we revitalised the historic 13,163m² space by redesigning internal spaces for modern use, while preserving the building’s façade and commercial areas. Improvements include new partitions, enhanced spatial efficiency, new lifts, and updated amenities to meet Australian standards. The Hub retains its charm, with contemporary updates ensuring a functional and modern space while honouring the building’s historical significance.
Our aim was to optimise the commercial performance of the building by redesigning the existing internal space, and thus improving the building’s pedestrian flow.
New internal partitions were added on both storeys of the building, and positioned to maximise spatial efficiency and contribute to ultimate functionality for tenants. Besides its functionality, the partition system offers flexibility and provides a balance between the different areas of the building.
We introduced new amenities and modernised existing amenities that were in need of upgrades. New lifts, remodelled toilet blocks, and refurbished egress and escape routes were integrated into the Hub in compliance with the BCA and Australian Standard requirements.
